You might think that Kate Moss had a meltdown due to the fact that the engagement ring presented to her by fiancé Jamie Hince (guitarist for The Kills) was significantly smaller and less expensive than the giant on Kim Kardashian’s finger. But in fact, Moss seems to love the vintage 1920s sparkler (worth nearly $28,000), as she proved at the recent Glastonbury Music Festival in Somerset, England. While watching her husband performing on stage, Moss realized that she had somehow lost her ring. Promise rings for men are growing in popularity. There is no black and white rule as to what makes a ring a promise ring. The important thing when considering one is looking at its significance. They can even be considered a traditional wedding ring because the beauty of them is that it means only what is symbolizes to you. If yours signifies marriage, then there is nothing saying that it cant be.

Ah, I remember the good old days on the playground when all my friends (and not-so-friends) would swap severed halves of a single plastic heart necklace (or, during that weird phase when hippie-inspired symbols were so in, opposite halves of a yin-yang). One extra-popular girl would have five different strands adorning her neck, another girl would have none and someone would always be the odd gal out in a group of 3 friends. In any case, jealousy inevitably ensued without fail. Lets face it we made even the cattiest gals on Gossip Girl look like peacemakers.
